Tim Lenoir is the new Kimberly Jenkins Chair for New Technologies & Society at Duke University. He has published extensively on the history of biomedical sciences and is currently engaged in an investigation of the developement of computer graphics, medical visualization technology, and the introduction of virtual reality and to surgery.

Lenoir has also been deeply involved in constructing collaborative, online digital libraries for a number of projects, including How They Got Game -- a large-scale research project on the history of interactive simulation and videogames.
